Cooperative enhances services with addition of experienced professional
To further enhance member care at La Plata Electric Association (LPEA), Jodi Patcheck has been selected as a new Customer Service Representative. Based at LPEA’s headquarters in Bodo Industrial Park, Durango, Patcheck works with LPEA customers on billing issues, new accounts and the cooperative’s various products and services.
Born in Chicago, Patcheck grew up in Durango and ultimately attended Fort Lewis College, attending on a volleyball scholarship. She majored in Business and Education, and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
Able to mesh her business, organizational and athletic skills, Patcheck began her professional career as the head of the Recreation Department at the then Tamarron Resort. She continued in the hospitality industry, turning next to AAA (American Automobile Association) where for 23 years she facilitated travel for local community members.
“I was hoping for a new opportunity,” she said, pleased to have joined the LPEA team. “Customer service at LPEA is similar to the travel industry as it’s working with people, helping and problem-solving.”
LPEA, a Touchstone Energy Cooperative established in 1939, provides to its more than 30,000 members, with in excess of 42,000 meters, safe, reliable electricity at the lowest reasonable cost, while being environmentally responsible.
