LPEA Board of Directors Committees
There are three active Board of Directors Committees:
Finance and Audit Committee – meets monthly
Policy Committee – meets quarterly
Broadband Committee – meets periodically as needed
There are two inactive Board of Directors Committees:

Power Supply Committee

LPEA Finance and Audit Committee
On July 17th, 2019, the LPEA Board of Directors approved the creation of the Finance and Audit Committee to (a) review the monthly and quarterly financial statements made available to the Board of Directors; (b) review the annual budget prior to its presentation to the Board of Directors; (c) review detailed reports of auditors including, but not limited to, internal controls letter, management representations, and work papers of the auditors; (d) review the financial performance of the Cooperative, as prepared by Cooperative staff; and (e) make recommendations to the Board of Directors for approval of financial policies, audits, or other items that are financially related to the Cooperative.

2020-2021 Finance & Audit Committee Members
LPEA Committee on Policies On July 17th, 2019, the LPEA Board of Directors approved the creation of the Policy Committee. The Committee is responsible for: (b) receiving input from Cooperative staff regarding suggested policy changes and concerns, and (c) recommending draft policy changes and new policies for consideration by the Board of Directors.

2020-2021 Policy Committee Members
LPEA Broadband Committee
On August 19th, 2020, the LPEA Board of Directors voted to re-establish the Broadband Committee, which was initially established in August 2019. The Committee will meet as necessary until it submits its findings and/or recommendations to the LPEA board at the April 2021 Board Meeting.
The Committee is responsible for (a) ensuring that the LPEA board is educated about the basics of broadband, (b) drafting an overall broadband strategy recommendation for the LPEA Board, (c) ensuring that the strategy defines how broadband will be utilized to enable the utility of the future (d) clarify how LPEA will utilize its resources to help enable broadband access to our membership, and (e) clarifying the expectations of the LPEA Board for LPEA’s relationship with its broadband subsidiary.

On August 15th 2018, the LPEA Board of Directors, approved the creation of the Power Supply Committee, consistent with the Statement of Functions and Task List developed by the subcommittee. The committee exists to evaluate LPEA's power supply options.
