Interconnection / Net Metering - Process & Checklist for Installers
Phase I:
- Submit a Interconnection/Net Metering Application
- Customer Agreement
- One Line Diagram of RG System
- Production Meter Socket with Accessible Disconnect
- Example One Line
- Site Plan of RG System
- Load data sheet for New Construction
Phase II:
- LPEA Engineering reviews Interconnect/Net Metering Application
- Interconnect request approved or
- Certain requirements must be completed prior to obtaining approval for interconnection.
- LPEA performs Pre-Inspection
Phase III:
- Installation Process
- Construction of array
- Review LPEA’s Interconnection Standards prior to installation
- Production Meter Socket (If required, please email renewables@lpea.coop one week in advance to coordinate pick up).
- Accessible Disconnect
- State Electrical Inspection
- Construction of array
Phase IV:
- Email the below documents to Renewables@lpea.coop
- Certificate of Completion
- State Electrical Permit
- Inverter Settings
Phase V:
- LPEA performs Final Interconnect Inspection within two weeks of receiving Phase IV documents
- Installers may be required to be present at final inspection
- LPEA will schedule a meter change for Net Metering (if required)
