            Important Notes
      
            - Tier 1 (up to 80% AMI): Maximum benefits - Rebates can cover up to 100% of eligible costs for low-income households
- Tier 2 (81-150% AMI): Reduced benefits – Rebates can cover up to 50% of eligible costs for moderate-income households
- Maximum combined rebate: $14,000
- Cannot be combined with other federal rebates and grants for the same project
- Use a state registered contractor
- Equipment meets or exceeds standards
- Contractor properly offers at least one third of tax credit as a discount
- Annual household limit of $3,200 across most qualifying improvements
- Must have personal tax liability to maximize credits (Most are considered “nonrefundable”)
- Installation must be completed between 2023-2032
- Most rebates require application within 90 days of purchase or installation
- Must be LPEA member
- Professional installation usually required
- Equipment must meet minimum efficiency standards
- Pre-approval may be required for some programs
- Receipts and documentation required for all rebates
