EmPOWERing Our Future Workforce

LPEA offers scholarships for graduating high school seniors or equivalent, including GED graduates within our service territory, to encourage careers with rural electric cooperatives. These scholarships aim to help students who wish to continue their academic education or want to become a lineworker. Scholarships are funded with Unclaimed Capital Credits as per LPEA Policy 203. You can find additional details and access the applications below. Keep scrolling for more information.

$7,000 yearly for four years to a U.S. college or university.

$5,000 yearly for two years to a U.S. vocational school, technical school, junior college, or university.

$12,000 to any U.S. lineworker program.

 

$500 to any U.S. university or college

This scholarship aims to help adults in the workforce who are interested in learning how to perform energy audits in our service territory.
