Newly installed ETS systems will utilize a Power Line Carrier Transceiver (known as a PLC Connect) to run an off-peak charging schedule which takes advantage of LPEA’s Time-of-Use program to reduce heating costs. These devices need to be connected to Wi-Fi in order to maintain an accurate off-peak schedule and avoid interruptions. Extended power outages or seasonal shutoffs can cause issues without access to Wi-Fi. Info on the connection process can be found here.
Our Energy Management team is also available to help get your device connected. If Wi-Fi is not available at your home or business, please contact our Energy Management team to discuss other options for controlling your system. Seasonal updates for the PLC Connect or timeclocks may be a solution for your system.
