Drew Timmerman is Vice President of Information Technology, overseeing LPEA’s network infrastructure, computer and phone systems, and cyber security. The IT team also provides in-house application development, system integrations, data analysis, and geographic information systems.
Drew’s career at LPEA began as a parttime worker in the Engineering department while he was attending Fort Lewis College in 1994. Drew left Durango in 1997 to complete his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado. While living in Boulder, Drew worked at a startup as a software developer after which he moved to Kansas to work for Garmin International. He traveled extensively in his role with Garmin, building a global network with stops in Europe, Australia, and the Caribbean. Drew came back to Durango and LPEA in 2009 to settle down and raise his two children with his wife of 20 years. In his spare time, he enjoys camping, biking, hiking, and helping his kids tend their horses, chickens, goats, and pigs on their funny farm.
