LPEA members have multiple payment options to help make paying your bill easy and convenient.
Click on the button below to pay your bill without logging on to the Smart Hub portal. You will need your account number.
LPEA’s SmartHub App is a one-stop-shop for your account with LPEA. Arrange to receive your bill via email, make payments using a credit card, or pay via direct debit from your bank account.
You can also view your account history, examine your current and past energy use, and opt into various LPEA programs. If you’re a new user, set up an account in a few easy steps HERE, or call us for support.
To go paperless, log into SmartHub. Under the “My Profile” tab, select “Update My Paper Bill Settings,” and turn on the PAPERLESS bill option.
Unless you opt-out (see Pay Online section to learn how), you will be sent a statement in the mail each month with a pre-addressed return envelope enclosed.
Depending on the type of account, a portion of your bill (this is noted on your billing) should be sent along with your payment to ensure proper credit on the account.
Payments sent through the mail should be made with a check or money order. Do not send cash in the mail. Post-dated checks will not be accepted.
Call (970) 247-5786 and select option three anytime, day or night, to pay via our automated payment system. You can also call the system direct by dialing (888) 836-2029. The system accepts check and credit card payments.
FRAUD ALERT! Due to data security laws, we are not allowed (and will never request) to take your payment details in person over the phone.
Bring your payment to our office in Durango or Pagosa Springs.

- Durango: Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.- 6 p.m.
- Pagosa Springs: Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. (closed from 1:30-2:30 for lunch)
Due to COVID-19, LPEA’s main lobbies are closed, but you can drop your payment in our dropbox or use the electronic kiosk at the drive-through lane anytime day or night.
All payments received through the night drop box are posted throughout the day Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Any payment received after 6 p.m., will be posted to the account the next working business day.
The kiosk accepts all major credit cards, banking account details, and/or cash. Kiosks are not able to make change. Any extra cash inserted will be applied to your account either as a credit or toward a remaining balance.
