We're thrilled to share some fantastic news that will directly benefit you and our entire community! LPEA, along with the City of Durango and the Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE), has been awarded a significant grant to enhance energy efficiency support in our area.

      • Energy efficiency
      • Renewable energy
      • Electrification
      • Associated workforce development
  3. The Plan
    • Duration: 3-year partnership
    • A new staff position will be created at 4CORE
    • This expert will serve residents and businesses across the entire LPEA territory
  4. Why This Matters
    • Simplifies access to energy-saving programs
    • Helps you navigate the many incentives and opportunities available
    • Supports our community's climate action goals
  5. Timeline
    • Program development: Ongoing
    • Expected launch: Late 2024 or early 2025

This project is a shining example of one of our core cooperative principles: Cooperation Among Cooperatives. By working together with the City of Durango and 4CORE, we're demonstrating how local partnerships can improve services, bolster our local economy, and more effectively address our community's needs. This collaboration allows us to leverage our combined strengths, resources, and expertise to bring you enhanced energy efficiency support and contribute to our region's sustainability goals.
