In the late 1980’s, LPEA’s office in downtown Pagosa Springs needed to relocate to allow both the city, and LPEA, the space to grow. Management decided on the new location next to Pagosa Springs High School because it was close to downtown, while also providing enough space for offices, garages, and storage in one place. The availability and cost of land were also key in choosing the new location, which was completed in 1988.
In 2020, Garret Hammer was promoted to District Manager of the Pagosa Springs office after working in various capacities with LPEA since 1999.
