UPDATE 6:30 AM

LPEA currently has 30 outages impacting 1,676 members.

Since roughly 4:00 a.m. this morning, LPEA has been experiencing widespread outages due to snow and wind. We expect to see the outages increase as the front moves through our area.

Blowing snow and poor to zero visibility on the roads are making restoration difficult, but crews are fully deployed and doing their best. It also takes longer to restore outages in snowy conditions. Water is a conductor, so crews must take extra safety precautions to keep themselves and the public safe.

It is impossible to give an estimate for when your power will be restored because crews don't know the issue until they arrive at each outage location and restoration times vary widely depending on the cause (e.g. a limb on the line vs. a broken power pole vs. an open circuit from lines slapping together).

Thank you for your patience as we work to get your power back up.
