The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) 2025 Member Satisfaction Survey is starting in September. This is the 10th and final year in a 10-year cycle, surveying members every 2 years.

Who: Any LPEA member could be contacted. NRECA will not call/email every member, but rather a representative sample of our membership across districts and demographics.

Why: To gauge member satisfaction with our cooperative over a 10-year period and compare our performance to other participating cooperatives. This feedback allows us to understand member needs and the survey results help us identify areas for improvement and guide the development of new programs and initiatives.

How: NRECA's Market Research Services will conduct the survey on behalf of LPEA using a combination of online (email) and telephone methods.

Our members will be randomly selected to participate, so not all members will receive an email or call.

Calls will come from 844-291-3410 between 3 PM and 8:30 PM weekdays and 10 AM to 8:30 PM Saturdays. There will be no calls made on Sundays.

Emails will look like they are coming from us but the email address MarketResearch@nreca.coop is the reply-to email and will be shown in brackets after the co-op name.

One way to know that the survey is legitimate is that if you respond, it will be addressed to the MarketResearch email.

Another is to hover over the “take the survey” link at the bottom of the email so that the url shows up. The beginning of that link should contain the words “NRECA” and “Qualtrics” which is the survey provider.
Yes. You may choose to complete the survey. It may be accessed by following the QR code which we will be promoting starting Septmber 8. You will need to use your Account Number (located in the top left of your bill) as your authentication code.
Yes. This is not a requirement, nor will members be penalized in any way for choosing not to participate. However, we would like to encourage any member who does receive a survey to complete it. This is a valuable opportunity to share your feedback and satisfaction with LPEA as your local electric co-op.
No. Responses are associated with your account number. If duplicate surveys are submitted, only the first one to be submitted will be used. (Ex: If you complete an emailed survey on a Monday and then on that Friday follow the QR code to submit another survey, only the emailed survey will be accepted because it was submitted first.)
No. Member confidentiality is a top priority. Whether you participate or not, your information will not be sold or added to a marketing list. Furthermore, your responses will remain anonymous to LPEA unless you explicitly approve the sharing of your identity in association with your response.
No. This is simply to gauge your perception of and satisfaction with LPEA, so we can better understand the needs of our membership and areas for improvement.
