- Membership in LPEA.
- Graduation from a high school, homeschool program, or attainment of a GED within LPEA's service territory, including Durango, Bayfield, Pagosa Springs, and Ignacio.
- Enrollment as a first-year student in an electric lineworker program at any accredited vocational school, technical school, junior college, or university in the U.S. for the upcoming academic year.
Application Essentials:
- Expression of Interest: A short essay or video explaining your interest in becoming a lineworker and working for an electric cooperative.
- Academic Record: Your high school transcript or equivalent.
- Letters of Recommendation: Two references from individuals who can attest to your character, dedication, and passion.
