The Colorado Home Energy Rebate Program helps households:
- Lower upfront project costs
- Reduce energy use
- Improve comfort and
- Create healthier homes
Eligible households can save up to $14,000 with rebates for qualifying upgrades. The first offering to launch through the Colorado Home Energy Rebate Program is the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) Program.
Eligible upgrades include:
- Heat pump water heaters
- Cold climate heat pumps
- Stoves, cooktops, ranges and ovens
- Electric panels
- Insulation
- Air sealing and ventilation, and
- Electric wiring
Opportunities for Single-Family Homes
The HEAR Program is currently only available to single-family homes. Rebate amounts are based on your household’s income relative to your county’s Area Median Income (AMI).
Income limits go up to 150% AMI or 'moderate' income, which is $176,000 for a family of 4 in La Plata County or $153,000 in Archuleta County. Find your county’s AMI using the Area Median Income Charts linked on the Colorado Energy Office website.
Additional Opportunities in 2026
An additional opportunity for manufactured/mobile homes will launch early in January 2026. Whole-home energy efficiency improvements to qualified manufactured/mobile homes will be made available through the Home Efficiency Rebate (HER) Program Also, program offerings for multifamily buildings of all sizes will launch in February 2026.
