LPEA is excited to announce the opening of applications for its 2025 Internship Program, offering a unique opportunity for college and trade school students to gain hands-on experience in the energy industry. The application process opens on Monday, February 10th. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. 

Five total internships are available in operations, communications, and finance, with an additional open application available for students with other relevant skills or interests. The operations internships are available in both Durango and Pagosa Springs. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation along with their application. 

Designed with flexibility in mind, LPEA’s internship program is both paid and adaptable to students' schedules. Interns can begin in the spring, summer, or fall, making it an ideal opportunity for students to balance academic and other commitments.

LPEA’s internship program is designed to provide interns with practical skills, industry exposure, and networking opportunities. Internships will offer real-world opportunities to work on meaningful projects that contribute to the cooperative's mission while gaining insight into how LPEA teams work to achieve their goals.
