Date Published

You are hereby notified that the above-named Cooperative has proposed the following changes in its tariffs which will become effective on January 1, 2026, following approval by the LPEA Board of Directors at its regular meeting on December 17, 2025.

Summary of Proposed Changes: The proposed changes include enhancements to an optional rate available to all grid-tied Association members who wish to purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and have them retired on their behalf. If LPEA collects more revenue than is needed to acquire the RECs, any excess funds will be allocated to the Local Energy Action Fund as outlined in Board Policy 303. Additionally, a new rate schedule, Transmission and Distribution Wheeling Service, is proposed. This rate would enable generator interconnection and wheeling service within LPEA’s service territory. It would apply to power generation facilities that interconnect with LPEA’s transmission and/or distribution system and use those facilities to wheel power outside of the Association's certificated service territory to the wholesale power grid.
